FITCHBURG - Dr. Donna Rae James Clasen, age 89, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 18, 2021. A private funeral service will be held. Family and friends who wish to view services via LIVE STREAM may visit Donna’s obituary page at www.gundersonfh.com and click on the Live Webcast link at 10 am. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Burial will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery.

I'm so sorry to learn of Donna Rae's passing. She lived less than 1/2 mile away and participated in some of our Doggy Mamas of Seminole Forest quarterly luncheons. A beautiful lady and always seemed sharp as a tack. I miss her already & will continue to do so. May she rest in peace and now be close to her previously deceased husband.

Donna Rae was one of THE MOST knowledgeable, amazing educator, mentor, advocate, friend & human I have had! She NEVER missed an opportunity to advocate for/help school children and was the first educator to acknowledge & support Gifted/Talented young people, teaching me/us and the world about Twice-Exceptional (i.e. "2X") learners! I/we will never forget the many times she helped me & joined me in school meetings designed to advocate for 2X students, and the WONDERFUL Sunday brunch she made and brought us when I broke my leg!! HEAVEN HAD DEFINITELY GOT A GREAT ANGEL!!!! REST. IN. PEACE. MY SWEET FRIEND!!
