Brent G. Olson

COLUMBUS - Brent G. Olson, age 32, of Columbus, Wis., passed away on Saturday March 13, 2021. He was born on May 18, 1988 in Madison, Wis., the son of Suzanne Steinhorst-Olson and Gary D. Olson, both of Columbus. In 2019, Brent was baptized at Door Creek Church in Madison. His faith drove him to be the best he could be for his family. Shortly after, Brent started his own company, Fresh Start Painting, LLC. Together, he and Lynse worked tirelessly to build their business. One of their goals was to support their family, but Brent also had a heart for others. He prayed his business would be successful so he could do God’s will and help others in need. Brent had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and many other adventures with his family. He was an artist at the grill and was proud of his delicious creations. Brent was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Brent is survived by the love of his life, Lynse Rothenburger and their four beautiful children, Mikaela (13), Logan (10), Zachary (8) and Declan (6). Brent is also survived by his parents, Suzanne Steinhorst-Olson and Gary D. Olson; his siblings and their families, CJ (Andria Waterman) Olson and Braylon and Elliana; Dustin (Kelsey) Olson and Gage and Ivy; Andrea (Jake) Rose, Cole, Amelia and Henry; Megan (Garrett Mohr) Olson, Piper and Penny; Lynse’s family; extended relatives; and many friends. A celebration of life will take place at DOOR CREEK CHURCH, 6602 Dominion Drive, Madison on Friday, March 26, 2021. A visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a private family service to follow. The family would like to thank the many volunteers who helped in the search for Brent. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for his children.
