Michael Eugene Chadwick Sr.

RIO-Michael E. Chadwick, age 67, of Rio, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021. He was born on January 15,1954, in Madison, the son of William and Louise (Jacobson) Chadwick. Michael attended East High School in Madison and enjoyed playing football. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps at age 17 and was proud of being a Marine. Michael worked in the maintenance department at Central Wisconsin Center for several years before retiring. Michael previously enjoyed fishing around the Madison area and playing Euchre and Bingo. He participated in many activities with the Moose Club and VFW, especially Friday night fish fries. Michael also liked to tinker with mechanical items. He spent the last few years residing at the Veteran's Home in King. Michael is survived by his children, Angela (Steve) Zeimet, Michael Chadwick Jr., and Christopher Chadwick; his siblings, William Chadwick, Priscilla (Tony) Jarona and Ron (Jeanne) Chadwick; grandchildren, Sarah Zeimet, Mason Zeimet, Nicholas (Alicia) Zeimet, Alison Zeimet, Luka Zeimet, Mikayla Knechtges-Chadwick, and Rowan Chadwick; Uncle Freddy Jacobson; Nancy's children and grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; and companion, Nancy Lien. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
