Obituary
OREGON-Norma A. (Payne) Richmond, age 88, of Oregon, Wis., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, in Verona, Wis. She was born on Sept. 8, 1935, in Ferryville, Wis., the daughter of William and Elnora (Tyrer) Payne.
Norma graduated from Seneca High School in 1954. She married the love of her life, Donald Richmond, on April 27, 2002, in Oregon, Wis. She worked for the State of Wisconsin in the Department of Motor Vehicles, Public Instruction, and Consumer Rights for many years and then Kwik Trip before retiring. Norma loved spending time with family, traveling with Don and she enjoyed a good western movie.
Norma is survived by Don's children and grandchildren; her brothers, Wayne (Donna Gokey) Payne of Livingston and Stephen (Connie) Payne of Pine, Colo.; and many very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Elaine Gaston, Dee Spink and Orva Payne; brother, Vilas Payne; brothers-in-law, Donald Gaston and Louie Spink; and sister-in law, Janet Payne.
A funeral service will be held at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood St., Oregon, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, with the Rev. Ellen Stelzle presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
