It was a pleasure to know Charles, as a recurrent visitor at his home in Mcfarland and sharing an occasional breakfast together. He always expressed a jovial demeanor when I saw him, a welcome memory I’ll keep. In summer and fall 2020, son Brett, a cadre of good friends and I worked tirelessly on a watercraft restoration, for which Charles was a constant reviewer of each night’s action and progress. Wheeling around the object of our toils in his electric scooter, examining our outcomes and engaging Greta, the shop dog, was clearly fun for him; still one of the guys. RIP Charles.

Chuckie, Tammi, Brett and family, thank you for the chance to celebrate your dad’s big life from 2000 miles away in Az. He will be so especially remembered by the Az. Richgels from the joy he and Barb brought to the annual family reunion at the Elks. We rejoice in the family reunion taking place in Heaven now. Our loss, Heaven’s gain! May GOD continue to richly bless you! Tom Richgels and family.

I marched with Chuck in the Madison scouts during the 50's. He was irrepressibly sunny, a good horn player, and a good guy. May you never walk alone, Chuck.
