Obituary
MADISON/LODI - Vickie L. Bandekow, age 66, passed away on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, at SSM Health-St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Sept. 24, 1954, in Madison, the daughter of William and Betty (Smith) Bandekow.
Vickie worked for Sentry Insurance for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time at her parents’ cabin in the Nekoosa area and listening to various bands. Vickie loved creating many different gifts for her friends and family, especially crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed shopping and going out to dinner with friends and will be remembered for making the holidays special for her loved ones. I am so sorry for learning that Vickie passed away several months ago. I worked with Vickie at Sentry insurance, and she was a spitfire. She really took her job passionately and wasn't afraid to tell you if you did something wrong. I appreciated that about her, we had many laughs and many conversations about people and processes. I can still hear her voice today when I would call her....she was just wondering what kind of "trouble" I got her in now....LOL She was a great woman and a person I am happy to have gotten the opportunity to have worked closely with.
