Obituary
MADISON - Thomas A. Felhofer, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021. He was born on Dec. 29, 1933, in Marshfield, Wis., the son of Frank and Rose (Wenzel) Felhofer.
Thomas graduated from Marshfield High School in 1951. He attended UW-Madison and UW-Eau Claire. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Thomas worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1999.
Thomas was united in marriage to Marion Helmenstein on April 24, 1965. He enjoyed playing softball for both Madison and Sun Prairie teams. He was an avid Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan. Thomas and Marion loved traveling and together they visited over 50 states and U.S. Capitals. A much-loved trip to Juneau Alaska was their most recent adventure.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Marion; dearest friends, Norman, Kathleen and AJ Aiken; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings.

I am extremely saddened at learning of the passing of one of my former teammates and longtime friends. Tom and I were privileged to play four years together for McGovern's Club in Sun Prairie, and we always had a friendly contest to see who was the better hitter. Tom was the consummate "sports junkie" before there was such a thing. He could recall just about any event or sports statistic that ever meant anything. We'd also have lunch or a Coke often at Mickie's Dairy Bar, where we'd have fun conversations with the proprietor, Norm Bass. Marion, you have my sincerest condolences. Know that I have NEVER forgotten those years we spent together, and will always hold Tom and you with the highest regard. He sleeps in God's arms now. Thanks, Tom, for your friendship. Chuck Schell

I think Tom is the friend who sat behind me in a couple classes in Marshfield Senior High. We enjoyed each other's company. Especially during quizzes. I have fond memories of Tom. Good-natured. Friendly. Outgoing. I mourn with you. Glen Jaeckel

Marion, We are so very sorry to read about Tom's passing. You and Tom played a part of our growing up years, which we are grateful for.
