Janet Elaine White

MADISON - Janet Elaine White, age 98, of Madison, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at her home. She was born on December 14, 1927, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Harley and Beatrice (Foss) Halvorson.

During World War II, she worked in an ammunition manufacturing plant. Later, she enjoyed a career as a stenographer, working for the City of Madison from 1974 until 1991. She married LeRoy White in Madison. In her younger years, she loved to dance. More recently she enjoyed spending time with her family, and she simply adored her great-grandson, Wyatt.

Janet is survived by her grandson, Carl (Katie) Krueger; great-grandson, Wyatt Krueger; sister, Shirley Mickelson; nieces, Kathy (Michael) McGlauflin and Karen Blodgett; great-nieces, Samantha, Haley and Elinor; great-great nephew, Jake. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy; daughters, Sharon Ann Krueger, Susan White and infant daughter, Linda Lee White; son, Lynn White; brother, Howard Halvorson; and sister, Helen Tennis.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park
