Sending my deepest sympathy to Ross' family. He was in one of my classes last semester and I remember the thoughtful and detailed effort he put into his course work. It was a pleasure knowing him even though for a short time. I'm sorry for your loss, Cara Westmark

Ross was my student in English 118 and he made such an impression on me. He was endlessly creative in his choice of topics. I've told so many people about the paper he wrote based on an ad for a video game that promised young viewers "your mother will hate it." I am heartbroken to think that this bright light went out so soon.

Some of my favorite memories of Ross are while flying. We would often fly to Oshkosh on Sundays for half price chicken, get picked up from the airport by my mother who is local, and get dinner together. It was a running joke that we came for the cheap chicken dinner, but if you factored in the cost of the flight it was closer to a $100 chicken dinner.
