Obituary

MOUNT HOREB - Debra Elaine Sutter, age 73, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born on Aug. 23, 1947, in Madison, the daughter of Rex and Neva Jean (Leigh) Bell. She married Daniel Sutter on Jan. 8, 1994, in Miami on a cruise. Debra worked as a lab tech for Williams Dental Lab for many years. Later she found work using her creative side at Olson’s Flowers and then starting Grandma Sutter’s Candies. She was famous for her candy and especially her toffee. Before Alzheimer’s, she was so creative, always had a project and nothing she couldn’t do. She loved traveling, gardening, sewing, jewelry making, baking, watching the Badgers and Green Bay Packers. Most of all she loved her family. Special thanks are extended to the wonderful support staff that has helped her through her illness, providing excellent care and support to her and her family. Debra is survived by her husband, Daniel Sutter; two daughters, Shelby (Rich) Trainor-Schoenberg and Sherry (Charles) Collins; six grandchildren, Holland (Brandon Paradis) Trainor, Sydney Strauss, Sicilee Strauss, Jaxon Schoenberg, Chase Collins and Charley Collins; two great-grandchildren, Oakleigh Paradis and Ryker Paradis; and sister, Barb (Tom) Kramer. She was preceded in death by her parents. Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Private family burial will be held at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. The first time we met Deb our family was up north on vacation. We went out fishing and my Dad commenced to drop his pole in the water. Deb threw her “fall” (fake hairpiece) off and jumped on after it. We had no idea if she could swim or much about her at all! That was Deb though, it was always her way to help however she could. She was always an all-in kind of person and we loved that about her. She was a very loving Mom and had so many talents. I remember so many dentists requesting her fine work. She was an artist. She left the world a better place ...

I first met Debbie when i started working at Williams dental lab , she was head of the ceramics department . I remember being amazed by her talents of building and carving teeth and restoring patients smiles . she was a very talented dental technician and i learned a great deal from her .
