Dorothy Lillian Krueger
April 20, 1927 - December 16, 2020
Obituary
COTTAGE GROVE - Dorothy L. Krueger passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at SSM Health-St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on April 20, 1927, in Milwaukee, the daughter of William and Lillian (Vobrail) Pekowsky.
Dorothy grew up in the Westfield and Adams-Friendship area. During World War II, Dorothy met her first husband, Tracy Randall, Jr., at Badger Ordinance Works near Baraboo. They married June 20, 1945. She resided primarily in the Madison and Monona areas during her adult life. She married the love of her life, Gerald Krueger, on March 2, 1979, in Madison. She retired from Central Wisconsin Center as a formula technician.
Dorothy liked the simple things in life and prided herself on her home and garden with Gerald. She was always a hard worker, there wasn’t much she wouldn’t tackle around her home. She was independent to the point that she insisted on mowing her own yard into her late 80s. Dorothy's whole life revolved around her family, close friends, and her dog, Tina. Tina passed shortly before Dorothy, at almost 17 years old. She was our loving mother and our friend.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Steven T. Randall; daughter, Teresa (Jeffrey) Kerznar; brother, Judge Robert R. Pekowsky; six grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Tracy Randall Jr. and Gerald A. Krueger; parents; brother, Donald Pekowsky; and grandchildren, Tricia Kerznar and Andrew Randall.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be gifted in Dorothy's name to Messiah Lutheran Church. A special thank you to Dorothy's best friend, Joyce Dyer, for her loving care throughout the years. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Dorothy will be remembered as a lovely lady and wonderful neighbor. Over the years I would run into her on various occasions and she was always so kind and friendly. My sincere sympathy to Steve, Theresa and all of her family.

Teresa and Steve, I'm very sorry to know of your mom's, passing. I saw her last at my own mom's funeral, almost 3 years ago. I have many many good memories of us growing up as neighbors, then forward with mom and Leo and Dorothy and Gerry. Your mom was a good good friend to my mom and vice versa. Know you are in thoughts and prayers, light and love to you all, Peggy Barden Nelson
