Lois Frances Smith

MADISON - Lois Smith, age 85, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, with her loving daughter beside her side. She was born on April 19, 1935, in Wyocena, Wis., the daughter of Norman and Faye (Pease) Patchin. Lois graduated from Madison East High School. She married William Smith on Oct. 28, 1966 in Madison. Lois worked at The Emporium and Gerhardt Drugs. She loved and appreciated flowers, and especially loved her cat, Lily. Lois was a life-long and dedicated Packers fan. In her spare time, she loved reading, bowling, and boating on the Wisconsin River at Hookers Landing. Lois was known to her family as “Grandma LoLo.” Lois is survived by daughter, Valerie Ann Rich; grandchildren, Justin (Mikki) Drinkwater, Anthony (Krista) Drinkwater, Michael Hommerding and April Hommerding; great-grandchildren, Tess, Tateum, Jayden and Kaylee; sisters, Jane Rothwell and Susan Egger; and brothers, Patrick Patchin, and William Patchin. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and brother, Michael Patchin. Lois is now at peace and has reunited with the love of her life, Bill.
