Obituary
STOUGHTON - Sharon Ann Nelson, age 76, of Stoughton, passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at Meriter Hospital. She was born on May 17, 1944, the daughter of Homer and Gussie (Banks) Simpson. She graduated from Monona Grove High School, and later married Norman Nelson.
Sharon worked as an administrator for the Veterans Association for 10 years and tended bar at Pitchers Pub in Madison. Sharon and Norm operated the Fly Away Bar and Restaurant for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and needle point.
Sharon is survived by her brother, Homer (Susan) Simpson; sister, Joan Coats; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Norman.

Very sorry to hear of Sharon's passing. I hadn't been in touch with her in many years but went to Vegas with her and a group of girls. Always enjoyed a Sunday afternoon at Pitchers tipping a few and having some good laughs. May she rest in peace.
