I was a student of Glen’s at MATC back in 1992. He put up with a lot of shenanigans from our class but we could always make him laugh and forgive us. Glen had a great (and dry) sense of humor and he taught effectively using it. I live in Seattle now and have for the past 22 years working as a respiratory therapist who was shaped in part by Glen and his colleagues in the respiratory care program. Condolences to his family and friends in Madison. He will be missed.

Glenn joined our family when he married one of the Devitt sisters (as he called us). Without Glenn I might not have my daughter and 3 grandsons as he saved Katie from drowning on a family vacation. After that he could tease as much as he wanted which he did often. He was always supportive of our parents as they aged including bringing them “home” to Louisiana after hurricane Katrina. After his diagnosis he still out hiked my husband at Devil’s Lake. These are just a few of my memories of Glenn. He will be greatly missed by Peg, Ben, Rhiannon, Alex and Aaron as well as extended family and many others.

Glenn was one of the nicest and most sincere men that I ever worked with. He was incredibly smart but yet humble. I was blessed to be able to work with him years ago and to maintain a connection when he left. He was a committed veteran who faithfully served our country Thank you for your service Glenn and may you RIP. You earned it buddy. ......Rita V
