I have wonderful memories of growing up in Monona with the Pasciaks as our neighbors. Walt and Joan were very good friends with my parents, Harvey and Lois Barden. You couldn’t ask for better neighbors. My deepest sympathy to Walt’s family. Pam (Barden) Jacobs

I have a lot of fond memories of Walt. He and my mother, Jackie spent 27 years together, he was a big part of our lives. I loved going over to visit and have an afternoon Bloody Mary, he made the best! He loved to garden and always had fresh vegetables from his garden. He had a lot of stories from his past. He will be missed.

Shared memory by my father's friend: Walt had a rare ability. After talking to Walt on the phone, the world seemed like a better place; like being hugged by your grandmother when you were a child . Although we were a thousand miles apart, thinking about him would bring a smile to my face. I don’t have to think of anything specific. It is the cumulative effect of decades of pleasant conversations, laughs, shared memories and shared family events and joys. He loved his family very much and his friends were friends for life. I was blessed and privileged to have had him as a friend. May God hold him in the palm of His hand for all eternity. Peace, Al

1:30 a.m. I awoke when the flood gates opened with great memories I shared with my father. I could go on and on with the details, but I choose to keep them close to my heart. Instead, I would like to say THANK YOU to my father. He prepared me for life, no matter what it tossed at me. If I were to call him looking for a pity party, he would listen carefully, then say, "well...I guess you'll have to pull yourself up by the bootstraps, you'll figure it out". In short, through the great times and the difficult times, of laughter and tears, I wouldn't have wanted anyone else as my father. The next time you hear Frank Sinatra singing My Way, you will understand the man. I already miss him dearly but will carry on. Thank you for giving me life. Love you, Your daughter Jodie

Many fond memories from our 40 years, from the back end of the 'Comptroller's Office' to the front, carpool, golf league, Elks Club, etc. Not only were you the first full-fledged 'Morning Person' that I ever met, but you were also the friendliest/happiest person too ! (confession: as your polar opposite, that sometimes made for some 'challenging' carpool rides for this gal !! ;) Your 'dad' insights were very useful too ! RIP in my dear friend. jo
