MADISON - Robert Nackman, age 63, of Madison, passed away suddenly on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at University Hospital. He was born on Jan. 22, 1957, in Chicago, Ill.
Robert graduated from Highland High School located in Indiana in 1975 and received an MBA at Indiana State University. He married Debra (Hopke) Nackman on Nov. 11, 2011, in Madison, Wis. Robert worked as a mail handler for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2017, after 20 years of service.
Robert was a family-oriented man. He and his wife enjoyed watching sports together, especially the Wisconsin Badgers, and Chicago Blackhawks, Bears and the White Soxs. He liked playing golf and collecting sports memorabilia. He was an avid reader and loved listening to music. His beloved cocker spaniel, Eika Marie, was the apple of his eye. They loved their summer pool time and playing ball.
Robert is survived by his wife, Deb; son, Bobby Nackman; parents; father, Frank (Dana) Nackman; mother-in-law, Donna Hopke; sisters, Barbara (Bob) Harpole and Diane Nackman; and brother, Mark (Evelyn) Nackman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa (Stansu) Nackman; and stepmother, Cindy Nackman.
No services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life for Robert will be held in his hometown of Highland, Indiana, summer of 2021.
