Acker, age 57, of Middleton, passed away on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, from unforeseen complications following surgery. She was born on April 1, 1963, to Harold and Elaine (Ziegler) Acker. Linda was a fun loving, caring, compassionate individual. She was lovingly referred to as LA, Linda Lou and Auntie Linda. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Linda loved her vacation trips with her brother and sister to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island and Palm Springs. Time spent with Dale fishing, riding in his Hot Rod, and visiting Governor Dodge State Park brought her much pleasure. She once threw a huge scare into Dale by swimming across Twin Valley Lake and back. He told her he wouldn’t be able to help her if she got into trouble because he wasn’t a very good swimmer. Her cats, Rajah and Zero, were her greatest joy. Linda is survived by her parents, Harry and Elaine; brother, Duane (Kevin Vondrasek); sister, Lori Gassman; and longtime partner, Dale Indermuehle. She is further survived by niece, Kayla (Kyle) Bell; nephews, Brady and Tanner Gassman; great-nephew, Brooks Bell; and aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Rose Acker and Alphonse and Elizabeth Ziegler; and several aunts and uncles. Linda will be dearly missed and we loved her deeply. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Tell someone you love them today. Because tomorrow is not promised. To my family and my friends, I love you. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held. Christmas this year will be different for so many reasons. Linda will be missed. She always enjoyed our Indermuehle secret gift exchange. I pray that you have peace, comfort of friends and family, and the hope Christ’s birth and of seeing Linda again one day. With Deepest Sympathy, Donna Knickmeyer (Dale’s sister)
