I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Denise years ago. We were doing a dog transport. I got the dog in Eau Claire and met Denise in Black River Falls. She also was picking up some cats at the Black River Falls shelter. And she was giving them a ride to their next destination. She was a very gracious teacher to me since she had much more experience than I did. She will be very missed.

Denise was a dear friend. Many times she let me accompany her on road trips to transport rescue animals. Twice we drove around the state to find a new love for her bunny Checkers. Playing bunny Cupids was our best time together. She once took me to her secret CHOCOLATE maker in the basement of a little house up north! Then there was the time we drove a cute little calico kitty to “the pound” in Milwaukee. We got there and Denise just couldn’t take her in. Instead she walked in and adopted her! That was her kitty Emma! So many wonderful memories I share with her. I love her and miss her!
