The world has lost an amazing person. Mary was my first mentor in the Girl Scout movement. I did not have a clue what I was doing. Even though she made gentle fun of me, she showed me "just how it should be done." I later worked with Mary on the history of the Glendale neighborhood. I admired her in being so involved with so many causes and I try to follow her example in my life. Prayers and virtual hugs to the family at this time.

Oh, I am so sad! Mary, I remember talking to you about Glendale School when I worked there, and of course constantly seeing you and Robert at church. You were an inspiration of right living to me and I will always remember you fondly. I'm sorry Covid kept us apart. Karen Wydeven

Marcia, reading about your mom, I would have loved to meet her; we seem to have many things in common, from biking to politics, music, and sewing costumes for the theater. Clearly she passed on many of these loves to you, especially a love and talent for music. She will always be with you. My condolences to you and your family. Sincerely, Susan (Gilbert)
