David Henry Kluever

OREGON - David Henry Kluever, age 79, passed away on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital, from a heart attack. He was born on March 9, 1941, in Madison, Wis., to John and Amy (Slinde) Kluever, the 10th of 14 children. He married his first wife, Nancy Pond, on Sep. 8, 1962. They went on to have three children, Mike, Amy, and Jason. Dave and Nancy divorced in 1994 but remained great friends throughout their lives. He married Tracie Holcomb on Jan. 21, 2000, they had one child, Cynara. Dave, always a very hard worker, learned from his father and by assisting with the family farms, he worked as an over the road truck driver, handyman, mechanic and small engine mechanic throughout his lifetime. He worked for Fauerbach Brewery, George Holmes Tire, and various farms. He spent several years as a handyman/jack of all trades for Jack McManus at his law office in Wisconsin and his cabins in Alaska, he owned Dave’s Small Engine Repair, and retired as a truck driver with Gary Brown Roofing. Dave is survived by his children, Mike (Grace Gervasi) Kluever, Amy (Steve) Sickinger, Jason (Rachel) Kluever, and Cynara Kluever. His grandchildren, Karrie Ghostley (Greg Stone), Amber (Garet) Mall, April Sickinger (Michael Evanovich), Jon Kluever (Diana Ridgeman), Heather Sickinger (Alex Stehle), Kaylah Kluever, Kayla Talbot, Jayce Kluever, Briana Kluever, Jacob Kluever and Nick Kluever. Great-grandchildren, Hailey Leutenegger, Ashton Ghostley, Aiden Thorpe, Jacob Mall and Ethan Bickel. His siblings, Tom (Kathy) Kluever, Leroy (Maria) Kluever, Virginia Brockman, Muriel Zwickey, Karen Denk and Sandra Vance. Sisters-in-law, Sandie Kluever, Rita Kluever, Gail Kluever and Betty Kluever; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by; his parents, his wife Tracie, siblings; infant brother, Earl, Joe, Harlow, Eugene “Killer”, Fred “Fritz” and Ralph; and brothers-in-law, Albert Brockman, Roger Zwickey, Terry Denk and William Vance. Private family viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020. He is being cremated per his wishes. A celebration of life will be held at his son, Jason’s house: W3249 Blazer Road, Unit B, Belleville, from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020.
