Robert H. Reever

MADISON - Robert H. “Bob” Reever was born in Fairfield, Ill., on Dec. 31, 1939. Bob died in hospice care on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, surrounded by loving care. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Reever and Hilda Reever. Bob moved to Madison, Wis. as a young adult. He was employed by Central Wisconsin Colony and Training School in the 1960s and later worked in construction. Bob enjoyed reminiscing about boxing in his earlier years. He was fiercely independent, had a wonderful sense of humor and was highly intelligent. Bob faced many challenges over the years including homelessness. He was welcomed with open arms at Bethel Homeless Support Services, First United Methodist Church and The Beacon. He considered downtown his home where he made many friendships over the years. A private burial will be held on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at Middleton Junction Cemetery. A celebration of life is being coordinated by Karen Andro, Director of Hope’s Home Ministries, First United Methodist Church to be announced.
