Debra A Staffeld

MADISON - Debra A. Staffeld, age 59, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020, at Agrace HospiceCare, following a lengthy illness. She was born on Feb. 22, 1961, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Paul and Christine (Fluoro) Ponath. Deb graduated from Sun Prairie High School with the class of 1980 and then attended MATC, taking courses in childcare. She was united in marriage to Glenn Staffeld on April 16, 1988, and together they raised their son, Nathaniel, of whom Deb was very proud. Deb loved spending time with children and was honored to say she was in childcare for over 30 years in the greater Madison area. She gave a little piece of her heart to each of her kids. Deb enjoyed music, singing and used her talents to perform in theatre. She loved animals, especially her cat, Socks, and going for walks at the Henry Vilas Zoo. Deb was an active member of Lake Edge Lutheran Church. Deb is survived by her husband, Glenn Staffeld; son, Nathaniel "Nate" Staffeld; father, Paul Ponath; brother, Steve Ponath; and sister, Pam Marek. She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine.
