MADISON - Michael Maurice Moody was called home on Nov. 6, 2020. Michael Maurice Moody was born on March 22, 1961, to the late George L. Moody Sr. and Corene (Harden) Moody in Madison, Wis. He was educated in the Racine school system in Racine, Wis. Michael entered the U.S. Army in 1979. He was an awesome cook and loved his family. He was definitely one of a kind.
He leaves to cherish his memory his six kids, Vervie Anderson (Sheak) of Madison, Shatari Moody of Milwaukee, Kayla Anderson of Minnesota, Trevor Doverspike (Noele) of Minnesota, Tamika Glass of Fond du Lac and Mykel Moody of Fond du Lac; his six grandkids, Niklaus Doverspike, Athera Doverspike, Nikova Doverspike, Winry Doverspike, Khazarhí Anderson and Za’Khia Allen; his mother, Corene Moody of Madison; his three brothers, Richard Moody of Minnesota, George Moody (Julie) of Iowa and Mark Moody (Robyn) of Wisconsin; and a host of friends, family, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George Moody Sr.
A private service will be held. Friends and family may visit drive-through style at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Very sad for the loss of our friend Mike. Yet every time I think about him I can’t help but smile. We had some great times together. His personality was one of a kind. He had this God given ability to captivate a room full of strangers and every person in the room would be smiling and laughing. He will be missed. So glad to have known Mike... one day we’ll see you on the other side brother....
