MADISON - Jolene Michelle Jacoby, age 54, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020. She was born on Jan. 22, 1966, in Two Harbors, Minn., the daughter of Jon Jacoby Sr. and Betty Crowley.
Jolene graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1984. She moved to Wisconsin and there she became a licensed beautician. Together with Linda Douglas, they established and operated Boardwalk Hair Design in Monona.
Jolene's first and foremost love was for her family. She never missed sending out birthday cards, calling on special occasions, being there for family get togethers and texting her brothers during UFC events. Every year for Christmas, she would make family calendars with pictures taken from years past, adding special events on different days of the months. She always ended each call or text with "I Love You!" Jolene was also a devout Vikings fan, she even set up a fantasy football league with family members. She had a variety of interests including: reading, games, crafting, playing cards and baking, in which she would share her treats for all to enjoy.
In addition to her mother Betty, survivors include her brothers, Jarod Jacoby and Jon (Naomi) Jacoby Jr.; her step-mother, Lanette Jacoby; two step-sisters, Kathy Parker and Marilyn (Roland) Hart; her five step-brothers, Earl (Kris) Crowley IV, Mike Crowley, Tom (Deb) Crowley, Daryl (Candee) Olson and Dan Olson; and several nieces, nephews and special friends, Linda and Dan Douglas.
She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, Jon L. Jacoby Sr. and Earl J. Crowley III. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I worked with Jody at WEA Trust for many years. Always fun loving. I remember she would wear a pink wig for Halloween. She cut my son's hair and also helped my daughter in beauty school by allowing her to be observed and interviewed. She loved people. I'm so sad to hear of her passing.

We will miss Jodi terribly at Hunt Club. She was a wonderful neighbors for 15 years and we always had a great time with her. She used to tell me how she missed going to her brother's and cooking on the grill. I told her she could use our grill anytime. So Sad that she is gone. Way to soon. Love Cheryl & Kim your neighbors forever!!

Jodi was a great neighbor. I appreciated her baking, especially during the early days of the pandemic, and her thoughtfulness. She left the world way too soon! Kim (the other neighbor named Kim)

Glenn and I send our condolences to her mother, Betty, and all of her siblings. Jody has been our hairdresser 30 years. She also did updo's, a specialty of hers, for me and my neices. One of those nieces became a hairdresser but moved away. She and Glenn enjoyed talking Vikings vs Packers in a friendly manner. She would bring in her baked treats and they were delicious! We would always talk family and of course our annual calendars. She always brought hers in when it was done and we also shared ours with her. She was a very nice lady and we shared a lot over the years. We had just seen her October 24 and we were so sad to hear the news of her passing. She will be missed and I think she is one of God's angels.

Jody was a wonderful lady! She was my hair stylist for about 5 years & we always had interesting conversations. She was a very kind & dedicated person in all her endeavors. Jody will be missed by many of us. May she Rest In Peace. Rosie Skibba
