Sorry to hear of Vern’s death. I remember how hard he and Dale worked on the little school house at German Valley and his help to Dick Horn in his final days. Served on the council with him. Remember him always there willing to help. Arnie & Francine RASK

Vern was one of those guys that were always willing to help! He had a heart of gold and would go out of his way to fix whatever needed to be fixed, when we rented a duplex from his Aunt, Vern was the guy to call to get the job done! We were always thankful for all his help! Prayers to June and his family!

I will remember Vern coming down to the big shed to do “something” he was a good soul! Cooter and Shelley we will always look back at our time there with very warm feelings of all of you!! Brad and Sue Meudt

Vern was our neighbor and a good friend to our dog Goombay! Vern taught the grandkids how to feed Goombay white bread straight from the bag a loaf at a time in their kitchen. She would make a beeline to Vern and June's the minute she got out the door!! We also remember Vern on his walks with Sam past our house every day. There was always a nice chat involved --- the best one including his pristine memories from his time stationed in Paris. It is a memory of Vern we will never forget.
