This is from David, her brother. As children we often went to our grandparents farm. She rode horses, we collected eggs, took tractor rides, slept on feather beds. A lot of good memories.

Mary was such a wonderful presence in our neighborhood and community as I was growing up. I just recently took my kids through the beautiful Woodland Hills Park savannah she worked so hard on. Sending so much love to the whole family...

Sending heartfelt sympathy from Sheboygan, WI. I found Mary to be the greatest of public health professionals. I always knew if Mary was part of a project, it would be successful. RIP, Mary. Your smile, sense of humor, loving nature and "what if/can do attitude will not be forgotten.

We would like to extend our sympathy to the whole Young family. Our hearts are broken and Mary will be deeply missed by us. Mary was one of the easiest people to talk to about anything you wanted. She listened and then talked. She was funny, loved to learn things, loved nature and doing projects and spoke her mind when needed. But most importantly, she was a good and kind person.

Mary was a very dear friend to so many, but a very special one to me. She always made me smile and feel good, it was just her natural way! I recently went to Wingra Park with another mutual friend of Mary’s. Gayle and I decided to rent kayaks and paddle out to the Lilly pads with flowers in tow and place them on the pads sharing beautiful stories of Mary! This was our tribute to a beautiful woman❤️ My condolences go out to her family and her best friend Meg. With caring thoughts, Debbie Beck
