My Father greatly enjoyed being with family and especially spending the holidays with his loved ones. One of our most memorable Christmas holidays with him was in 2010 in Durango, Colorado. He was 88 years old at the time and it was one of the last times he traveled away from home for a family visit. We sang Christmas carols while his granddaughter, Alayna, played piano (see picture) and he really enjoyed helping out with keeping the home fires burning - splitting and stacking firewood (see attached photo of Dad and me on my tractor).
I will miss all the wonderful times spent with my Dad and now hope that he spends the rest of eternity in arms arms of my Mother, his beloved wife, Della. May you rest in peace, my dear Father.
Love you Pop, Lynn

My dad so loved his family. He cherished when we all were together, especially since we are scattered wide. He left his large, multi-generational family with many fond memories, stories and life lessons to follow. Miss you dad. Love forever and until we meet again. Your daughter, Jenne

My deepest sympathies for the whole family, as I know Earl will be missed greatly. I met Earl when he started with Dr. Nestleroad at Meriter clinic and then we all moved onto the UW clinic. He would call me with questions and never wanted “to be a bother”, but in reality his calls and visits were special for Dr. Nestleroad and I - to hear his laugh, see his smile, or to get a hug. He would bring me (and the other nurses) chocolates each Christmas. He brings a smile to my face just thinking of him. He was so kind and caring and just a wonderful person to have had the privilege to know. I think of him often and am so thankful for all the lovely memories he shared with me. My sympathies and thoughts are with you all. -Mary Haak
