SUN PRAIRIE - Sharon L. Harrison, age 83, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Nov. 8, 1940, in Madison, the daughter of Harry and Irene (Bultman) Walsvick.
Sharon graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to John Harrison on May 31, 1963, in Madison. They had been married for 61 years. Sharon worked as Vice President of Human Resources at M&I bank for 40 years.
Sharon loved cardinals, she believed that they were a sign from someone already gone. She liked to fish, making many trips to Canada with family and friends. She also enjoyed trips she took to Italy and New York. Sharon liked to spend time at various places in the Northwoods. She loved all animals, especially her dogs.
Sharon is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Lori (Lenny) Ahlen; brother, Ron (Debbie) Walsvick; grandson, Lee Holt (fiancee, Cayley Wilson); nieces and nephew, Michele Walsvick, Kari Meyer, Kelli Meyer, Scott Meyer and Missy Meyer; grand-niece, Mikayla Walsvick; cousins, Mary (Ray) Ackerman, Joanie and Jeanie and Duwayne Walsvick; cousin-in-law, Larry Moe; and special friends, Kobi and Sarah Danke with their kids, Holland and Lily. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Irene Walsvick; son, Michael Harrison; cousin, Terry Moe; and brother-in-law, Jerry Meyer.
A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024.
