Dear Mary’s family, I am saddened by the news of your Mother’s passing. She was a ray of sunshine in my working days at UWMF. She always had a warm, welcoming smile when ever I came into her presence. I loved working with her and I loved who she was. She was fun loving, with caring ways, and had a great sense of humor. You have my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Love, Rob Hennet

Amy, Keith and family members, I had the pleasure of working with Mary for many years at UWMF. I met Mary when I came to the Odana Clinic, working with her in the medical records department. Mary had an outstanding work ethic and always a happy and pleasant attitude. After I left that Clinic I again had the pleasure of working with her at Remote Storage. We, including Rob Hennet, had so much fun there even if it was work. I seem to recall, at Odana, that Mary would bring a huge Nesco of BBQ and maybe an Angel Food cake for her birthday treat. I also remember her bringing, at various times, some of her beautiful cerammic pieces and letting us choose which ones we wanted. She was such a giving lady. Mary, Amy and I went to a concert together and she, MY mom and I went to a couple concerts together. When the moved Remote Storage to the new UW building in Middleton, Mary came along but didn't stay too long. It was a loss to have her go as she was such an asset to the department. I will always have the fondest memories of your mother/grandmother. My deepest sympathy for your loss. OH! And, when I would go on vacation, Mary and Amy would take care of my dog, Callie, for me! I love THEIR love of animals.

We are so sorry to hear about Mary. I first met her at JoDot Ceramics when I was a teenager because my grandmother, Margaret Croft, took classes there. Mary always had a smile on her face and made you laugh about something. I have fond memories of her and think of her often. In fact, we bought the property about 30 years ago that once was JoDots. Our thoughts are with all of you. May the memories of the good times help you through the times ahead. -Jodi and Rick Ross
