My sympathies to the family of Ted. Ted was a valued and treasured member of the board of the Triangle Community Ministry of the Triangle area in Madison, for many years..His thoughtfulness, kindness and coordination at the Ministry will be long remembered. What a beautiful Legacy Ted and his wife Jane leave us. I remember Ted from his time serving as Treasurer and Board Member of the Triangle Community Ministry. He kept the organization going through his sincere efforts and vision. Because of his work, the group continues today! Jane visited with residents, helping and supporting them in many ways. Ted established the department of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery in the Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, India. He and Dr R N Bindra trained numerous fine plastic surgeons in India. Although I was a resident in general surgery, i spent 3 months in his unit to learn some plastic surgery. I had the privilege of assisting him in first microvascular surgery in CMC in 1973. A patient came with three fingers of his right hand cut off. He re-implanted all of those fingers and I got a chance to assist him in the middle of the night. He was a fine man and spoke Hindi fluently. May his soul rest in peace.- Dr Sirish Chandra

Dr Feierabend trained a generation of plastic surgeons at the Christian Medical College at Ludhiana, Punjab. He is fondly remembered by all the medical students, Gen. Surgical residents and Plastic surgical trainees that he worked with. His trainees recall his "ever smiling face,", excellent teaching, humility, kindness and compassion, and his excellent surgical skills. RIP Dr Feierabend, you leave a rich legacy
