MADISON - Alex Corey Brown, age 28, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020. He was born on June 3, 1992, in Madison, Wis., the son Timothy and Monika Brown.
Alex graduated from Verona High School 2010. He studied abroad in Germany for one year while a student at the UW-Whitewater. Alex thoroughly enjoyed his time in Germany and had a passion for traveling and subsequently took several additional trips to Germany and also visited Switzerland and Austria. He worked in customer service at both Kwik Trip and Aldi.
Alex is survived by his parents, Timothy and Monika Brown; brothers, Denis Brown and Timme Brown; special niece, Kiara Brown; uncles, Robert Brown, Eddie Hollins, Peter (Pam) Fuellemann and Rudolph (Brenda) Fuellemann; aunts, Felecia Hollins and Yvonne Fuellemann; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Klarissa Brown; brother, Tyrone Brown; paternal grandparents, Ollie and Doretha Brown; maternal grandparents, Wilhelm and Hedwig Fuellemann; aunt, Thelma Brown; and uncle, Earnest Brown. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Alex was a carefree and fun-loving guy who loved to make people laugh. He used to push everyone's buttons while we played Risk, making the game much more interesting! Alex was friends with a wide variety of people from Switzerland to Wisconsin, and he made me feel valued by reaching out to stay in touch. When we were growing up in Wisconsin, he was often the life of the party, bringing an easygoing and kind energy to those around him. He will be missed by his friends greatly, and his loss at this time cuts particularly deeply as it seemed he was doing well recently, and he was far too young for this to happen. My thoughts are with his family during this time of mourning.

Alex was one of the best friends that anyone could ask for, at the drop of a hat he would be there for you. I will cherish every memory of our traditional two hour long conversations Sitting in front of his parents place when I dropped him off, even if we had just spent the week on a trip together. Through many years of friendship, countless memories were made and an even stronger bonds were formed. Every gathering, trip and celebration will be missing a key figure. My deepest sympathy to his family, he was loved by so many people.

Alex and I were fairly close for an auntie and nephew. I'm going to miss him dearly. Talking on the phone, hanging out on the back stoop, and sharing FB posts are going to sorrily missed. You had such a big heart, too big for this world. Love you and I will miss you.

For me Alex was Anton, the German name he used in my classroom. He was such a mature, kind and personable young man. I remember when he worked at Aldi and he would always greet me with, Guten Abend, Frau Diemer. He also had the greatest smile. I will miss him.

I remember talking with Alex one year at a family reunion where he talked about his interest in Germany. I remember feeling excited for him on his future plans. I also remember his sweet spirit. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing and I am especially praying for the strength of the family through this.

I am so sorry for your loss. Frau, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I only met Alex once when I dropped off Frau’s teacher appreciation gift. Alex opened the door and greeted me with the biggest smile. I will always remember that smile!
