Obituary
MADISON - William Ray Foster, age 70, of Madison, passed away at the home of his brother, Marvin Foster, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1954, in Monroe, the son of Everett and Dorothy (Barnard) Foster.
William graduated from East High School. He worked for Blum Flooring for a few years.
William loved to be outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He was a handyman and liked working with hands. He was a jack of all trades, master of none. William was well liked by everyone he knew. He lit up every time he was around his grandkids and great-grandkids. They were so special to him.
William is survived by his son, Kevin (Alicia Counterman-Foster) Foster; two granddaughters, Samantha and Brianna; two grandsons, Dominic and Austin; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Rosie; five sisters, Mariam (Daniel) Millette, Bonny (Jim) Lundy-Gugel, Debra (David) Roach, Cathy Poast and May Foster; three brothers, Jackie Foster, Earl (Laurie) Foster and Marvin Foster; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Stanley, Austin, Steven and Larry Foster; sister, Ruth Crow; sister-in-law, Karen Foster; and two brothers-in-law, Thomas Poast and Francis Crow.
Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2025.
