Peggy, condolences on the loss of a prince of a man. I knew him before I knew you - when he was Speaker of the Assembly - and he modeled integrity, intelligence and concern for the common good of our State. So sorry for the loss of this fine man. Condolences to the whole family. Helene Nelson.

Dear Ruthie and family: so sorry about your dad. You and your family and your dad will be in our prayers. I don’t have many memories of your dad but you babysat me and my sisters. We lived at 5321 Marsh Rd and you gave us your Barbie dolls. I still have some of them and my daughter plays with them now. I also loved the “moats” around the trees in your yard....especially when they filled up with the rain water. May your dad Rest In Peace. Pamelann Schulte of CHIPPEWA Falls (aka Pamela Quamme)

Uncle Norman was a great example of a public servant and good government. Arvid was so proud of his brother being Speaker of the Wisconsin Assembly. He used to say: "Mr. Speaker..." I remember the Norman Anderson family leaving the early service at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison as the Arvid Anderson family was just arriving for the late service. We always enjoyed the Thanksgiving meals at Norman's house, and later, family gatherings at Marsh Road.
Norm played tennis for many years at the Nielsen Tennis Center at UW Madison. He was an early riser and I would see him driving into the tennis center when I was out for early jog. He was a very accomplished lawyer and a lobbyist for many organizations including the Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Association. At the recognition dinner for his legislative service at the Park Motor Inn, he received accolades from politicians of both political parties. Honesty, Integrity and mastery of the Roberts Rules of Order were hallmarks of his public service. A wonderful role model.
