David Dean Donovan

Dave was such a kind and environmentally astute person. He made everyone who he met feel loved and important. His strong faith was evident at meals where he would pray for each person there and offer thanksgiving for all his blessings. Life and family were joys to him. He was key to Xcel Energy's strong stance on the environment with alternative energies, and he left a huge impact on the company. When one looks to the sky at night, there is always that one star that shines and twinkles brighter than the others. That would be Dave , reaching down and still caring for us and all creation. Rev. I worked with Dave for many years at Xcel Energy. He was a co-worker, mentor, boss and most of all friend. Dave was a caring and compassionate man who loved his wife, children, and family and spoke of them often. I'm sure they will hold the same shared memories close to their hearts...until they meet again. Wishing peace and comfort to all who were fortunate to know Dave.

A best friend. Loved him like a brother.

Oh, how I've missed Dave since he started battling this disease. :( While he was my boss for only a short time, I've known him much longer and boy could he make me laugh! On our bowling team, in his office, or in the hallways at Xcel Energy. And, he was such a great mentor and leader of his team, he appreciated everyone of us and our contributions and he told us that frequently. I know he is finally at peace, and most likely eating candy or some other sweet treat while he's overlooking the hills of Ireland! Hugs and prayers to his entire family-he definitely made an impression on me!

Dave was such a kind and caring person. May he Rest In Peace and may God wrap his arms around all those who loved him so dearly.
