Dan was in town for an OHS retirement about 15 years ago and Marge said I was welcome to join them for supper. Sitting down to Marge's spread of food that evening was such a rush of memories of savory home cooking by the many mom's, aunts, and grandma's in my life. My absolute favorite moment of the evening was when Dan passed the pickle bowl my way. I immediately recognized them as water melon pickles and had to ask if Marge had made them. The glow of pride in her face is one I will never forget. I think every pickle I put on my plate was such point of joy for her. And I took more then my share. For me , the look on your face will live with me always and especially when the pickle bowl is passed at family gatherings Our thoughts are with the entire Farris family. Bert and Trish Paris

Marge liked to go places, and when she found out that I did, too, our friendship was born. We went to many plays and other things together. She was so full of life. I will miss her. Jane Morgan

Two friends, your mom, Marge, and our mom, Mary, passing on the same day. I can see the two of them smiling at each other. Friday night card and board game night, attendance at musical events in surrounding communities and card clubs were some of the activities they enjoyed most. Please know we are thinking of your family at this sad time and extending our condolences to all of you. Diane (Meier) Anderson and Family of Mary Meier

The Farris family lived across the street from my Grandparents, Bill and Loretta White, for as long as I can remember; and what I remember the most is the kindness that Marge shared with them. She-and the whole family - were good neighbors and friends to them for so many years-and even more so to my Grandmother after my Grandfather passed away. I was sad to read of Marge's passing and am sending my thoughts and prayers. Barbara White Meyer
