My condolences to the family and friends of John. I was only in my 20's back in the mid 70's... I was a waitress at the time and John would come to the Gazebo for lunch with his business associates. Always a pleasure to wait on him - he was pleasant, kind and generous. Funny how you remember certain people. John was that person.

Anne, Mary and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. John fought for so long and know that with his special cheerleader Sharonm not there it was most difficult. Know he was a Michigan fan but always said he cheered for the Badgers if they were not competing against each other. All sympathy, Sandy Kaufmann

Dear Mary, Ann, and extended family, Imagine my shock when I picked up the morning paper. John was such a good long term friend, since high school days. When he married, Sharon, John, my husband Gordon and I continued to have a wonderful relationship travelling together, eating out, going to the Madison Symphony on Sundays. I feel very fortunately to have such lovely memories. Ironically I planned to call John today to ask how he was doing and also tell him I was reading a book on the 100 year old history of the UW Med school. There was doctor's name, Joseph C. Bloodgood, faculty in 1907. I wondered how the two were related. Again, my condolences. With love, Karen Tuffli

Dear Mary and Sandy, I read with sorrow your dad's obituary today, the first day we had subscribed to the Wisconsin State Journal. I saw your names, and thought there were no real coincidences that I should be able to reach out to you and express my caring thoughts to you both, and to Tony, in your loss. My dad died in December of 2018, and I miss him and revere his memory. Peace and love, Jeannine Broach Hanson
