Obituary
RACINE-Barbara A. Adams, age 82, of Racine, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Sept. 15, 1937, in Racine, the daughter of Peter Belconis and Marcella Galeski.
Barbara graduated from Park High School and UW-Madison. She married the love of her life, Lawrence Adams, in September of 1961 and they were together for 25 years until his passing. Barbara worked as a medical technician for Ascension All Saints Hospital. She was a member of St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Racine. Barbara loved to cook, play golf, swim, exercise, and travel around the world.
Barbara is survived by her five children, Jeff (Kathy) Adams, Jennifer Heck, Jon (Kari) Adams, Janice (Dan) Riese and Jodi (Jesse) Evans; 13 grandchildren, Ryan Clark, Paige Adams, Sam Riese, Katie Adams, Grant Adams, Ellie Adams, Kira Heck, Caroline Adams, Jessica Evans, Ben Adams, David Heck, Becca Riese and Jenelle Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; grandson, Charlie Adams; and two brothers, Lawrence and William Belconis.

Barb and I worked together for 10 years, retired on the same day in 2008, and recently would talk everyday. I enjoyed her wit and independence. I will miss her.

I met Barb when she started coming to the aquacise classes at Razor Sharp. She was always a delight to have in class and always shared recipes with my late husband who was also in the class. She will be deeply missed by everyone in the class. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Pat Emerick

I am so sorry for the family's lose. Barb was a friend through our participation in classes at Razor Sharp. She will be deeply missed by those of us who were in classes with her. Also remembering many years ago when we had grandchildren who were in the Racine park program together. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I met Barb several years ago at the ladies "Y". We went to aqua class there and then we went to Razor Sharp and continued there. She was a real trooper because she rarely miss a class no matter what the weather was outside. She had a great smile and sense of humor. If I saw her coming I would always hold the door open for her.
