I'm sorry to hear about Gati. I was in a different work unit at DOT, but knew him from the very beginning of our union organizing effort. He put in many volunteer hours and signed up a lot of our co-workers to work for fair pay and fair voice at our worksite. We could always count on Gati to stand up for what was right. His passing is a loss to us all.

We are so sad to hear of Gati’s passing. He was such an inspiration and special friend to my husband after meeting through the Dane Co. RSVP program in which Gati volunteered each week. Gati was warm, engaging, and quite humorous. Bob loved hearing stories about his childhood, work, family, and especially his numerous hunting/fishing adventures. He made insurmountable contributions to this world and I’m sure that he will continue to do so. God bless him and his entire family.

Gati was a funny guy that was a great friend we grew up with. We shared so much time together like playing sports at kagel playground, CYO at St. Wenceslaus, teen bars, ma and pa Mierzejewski , even taking vacation to go fishing in Birchwood. You are in our thoughts and prayers our dear friend. Make sure you save a spot for us. May you Rest In Peace and God Bless!

We ascended a South Dakota hillside when our dogs locked up. 100 yards upwind was a small cat tail slough loaded with hundreds of cackling roosters. We shared some good hunts Gati. May there be pheasants in heaven. My sympathies to Gati’s family and to you Sharon.

First of all, my condolences and prayers to all of Gati's family. We were great friends for most of our lives. I have many fun memories of our times together growing up in our Milwaukee neighborhoods. Although our lives took us down slightly varied paths, we remained close & forever friends. Gati will truly be missed by so many. Looking forward to the old gang reuniting again some day. Love, Shoes.
