David was always the 'cool' cousin. We all wanted to be like him - He was hilarious and wickedly smart. I will always remember him sharing his eclectic taste in music with me. He will be forever loved and missed. ❤️ Dawn.

I was in a car accident in 2014 when David was our next door neighbor. I could not reach my husband so I called David. He went, woke Brett up, gave him coffee, a bagel and sent him to the hospital we were at in Illinois in his Jeep because it was more reliable than Brett’s truck. I have so many memories of laughing with David, playing volleyball and discussing politics but his care, concern and kindness will always stand out to me the most. What a great guy.

I was the one with David when he took his first "baby" steps. I watched him grow into a good looking young man. Sadly, I missed seeing him become a husband and father. We may have been out of sight, but he was never out of my mind. Heaven has gained an angel. You will always have a special place in my heart. I hope these words bring comfort to David's family. I love you, David. Your cousin, Sharon.

David was a loving, caring brother who loved soccer and playing the drums. I have many fond memories of us spending weekends at the soccer fields or baseball fields supporting each other during our games. I admired and looked up to my older brother and always wanted to be around him in our younger years. As time went by, we began to have different interests, but that was okay. I was very sad when he left Florida but also knew that it was going to be a positive move for him. Although I tried to reconnect, I tried to understand that he undoubtedly wanted to leave the past alone, as his present and future were extraordinarily successful. As devastating as this news is, I have gained comfort knowing how much love surrounded him. I’ve missed you, brother, but know we will meet again in heaven. Until then, I hope you know that I’ve always loved you and have always thought fondly of you. You’ll always be my big brother.

I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss. May he rest in peace and your hearts be healed by memories and times shared. I only met Mr. Line once, but he made me laugh when he acted shocked when I was introduced to him as "Jacob's grandmother". Lots of Love to you, Hannah, and your family. Karen Henning

To the family and Jason James especially, My prayers and condolences go out to you in this time of sorrow at Dave's unexpected passing. I worked with him on Boy Scout Troop 2 matters many years ago and found him thoughtful and astute in his observations. He surely will be missed. God bless and keep you, Mike Varda
