John’s laughter and smile will surely be missed at future McKenzie Family Reunions. It was wonderful getting back together with all our Families these past several years. John’s big hugs will also be missed, along with all the kidding we all did to each other. Until we all meet again, and have a great big McKenzie Reunion, you will be in my thoughts and Prayers. Hugs, Love, and Prayers to Pam, Jack, MacKenzie, and your extended Families. A special hug to Aunt Rosemarie and Uncle Bill. 🤟🏻💜🙏🏻

I remember when I was a kid, I made the trip to Madison more than one time. One sticks out in my mind, partially anyway, I know for sure I was there with my Grammy (Kate) and we went shopping.. I am sure I talked her into buying something ridiculous for me... but after that we went to the restaurant John worked at for dinner. It was a beautiful restaurant and bar (lots of wood and logs) He came over to the table and he was so happy and joyful that we all were there. I became a bartender and server, I only hope I make people feel as welcomed as He did.

Went to school with John from junior high thru UW. To say he was a gentle giant was an absolute understatement. Though we weren’t the closest of friends, he was one of the most sincere guys I’ve ever known. Soft spoken at times and carried himself with a lot of integrity. During college when we joked about never seeing each other at the same Sunday Mass, he’d just smile. My prayers to his wife, children and entire family. Rest In Peace my friend. Frank Oswald & family
