Obituary
MADISON-Janet Tippins, age 77, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020, with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Thelma June (nee Markley) and Calvin Viehdorfer.
Jan was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed her antiques, her grandchildren and her cat, Baby. Jan volunteered at Agrace Hospice Thrift Store on the east side of Madison and truly enjoyed her co-workers.
Janet is survived by her daughters, Terri (Steve) Pelikan and Traci (Eric) Swenson; her brother, Gary (Ellen) Viehdorfer; grandchildren, Audrey, Calvin, Emily, and Nicholas; great-granddaughter, Adelynn; and nephews, Matthew and Andrew. She was preceded in death by her parents.
We wish to thank Dr. Jake Starsiak and registered nurses, Grace, Pam and Anna at UW-Madison Hospital for showing special care and compassion to Jan during her brief illness. A private family service will be held.

I knew Jan from working on Grace Episcopal Church's Estate Sales. From Day One of meeting Jan, she felt like a friend and one you had known for a long time. Her knowledge, wisdom and guidance as we worked those Estate Sales was so appreciated and so valuable. We will miss her. God's speed to Jan's family as you mourn losing her.
