Sending our Love to the family, we are going to miss Gladys a lot, I'm going to miss our chats over the back fence and at her kitchen table . She made the best pineapple coconut cake ( wish i would have gotten the recipe from her) and she almost always sent us over a piece or two. Gladys loved her family a lot, she would tell stories about her siblings growing up and she adored her children, grandchildren and love to tell about the great grandchildren and the cute things they did. We will never have another neighbor like her, she was the best. Rest in peace Gladys. Love you. Kathy B.

My sincere condolences to the DePrey family. I met your mother/grandmother while delivering meals on wheels. It was apparent she had both family and neighbors looking out for her. Every time I stepped into her kitchen to leave a meal I felt like she was taking care of me. Like I had just arrived to my childhood farmhouse kitchen with my mother greeting me. My mother passed in 2013. Your mother like mine conveyed care and love that was boundless. I always left her porch with a smile and bounce in my step feeling more light energy and love to move on. I feel honored to have met her. Hope you have fond memories to help you through this loss. Bette McCaulley 118 Meadowlark Dr, Madison

Our condolences to the family. So sorry for your loss. As next door neighbors, we will miss Gladys so much. Her and Dick have been such good neighbors for the last 27 years. We moved in when our daughter was 3 months old. Dick would snow blow our driveway before we got a snow blower and when we were at work all day. They would collect our mail every year when we went on vacation. Dick fixed the springs in our old garage door when they broke, and Gladys brought over baked cookies when I broke my leg and was laid up. We will miss talking to her. Eric & Suzette Letcher
