Obituary

OREGON - Elmer O. Weihemuller, age 96, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020, just 3 days shy of his 97th birthday, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on March 5, 1923, in Jambo Creek, Wis., the son of William and Hattie (Zermuehlen) Weihemuller. Elmer graduated from Mishicot High School. He married Pearl Rahmlow on June 30, 1951, in Two Rivers, Wis. Elmer was an avid reader and loved spending time outdoors in his garden or just looking up at the stars. He was an animal lover, especially his cats, Paws and Rudy. Elmer was a hard worker and very handy. He enjoyed keeping busy with projects or using his hands to fix things. Mostly, he loved spending time with his children. Elmer is survived by his daughters, Wendy Lee Weihemuller (Denny Josi) and Wanda Lynn (Scott) Tolley; sisters, Wilma Zinn and Verda Rahmlow; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl; friend, Jahn Witzel; son, William Weihemuller; and sisters, Hazel Kind and Janet Parizek. Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 625 E. Netherwood St., Oregon, Wis. at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Burial will be held at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers, WI. Visitation will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Tuesday, March 10th. Memorials may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital. Wendy and Dennis, I am so sorry for your loss. I will be thinking of you often in the coming days as I can only imagine how difficult they will be.
