Terrence Lee Tauchen

MADISON-Terrence L. “Terry” Tauchen, age 76, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020. He was born on May 9, 1943, in Madison, the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Bolan) Tauchen. Terry grew up in Oregon and graduated from Oregon High School in 1961. He married Ruth Braton on Dec. 26, 1964, at Holy Mother of Consolation Church in Oregon. Terry’s longest career was in music distribution and sales. He was a long-time resident of Madison, where he worked at the Madison Post Office in his later years. He enjoyed music and going to concerts with friend and longtime colleague, Tom Zutaut. Terry traveled all over in the music industry and instilled in his daughter, the love of photography. He was an avid coin and pen collector. Terry loved the outdoors and was instrumental in teaching his son, Lee, to fish. This led to his son having a career in fishing. Terry is survived by his wife, Ruth; son, Lee R. (Aleksandra) Tauchen; daughter, Laurie (Alvin K.) Kutil; two brothers, Ron Tauchen and James Tauchen; and three sisters, Kay Hughes, Sue Tauchen and Mary Tauchen. He was preceded in death by his parents.
