MADISON - Jennifer J Brooke, age 52, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at University Hospital. She was born on July 26, 1967, in Madison, the daughter of Dennis Vick and Peggy (Whiting) Lutonsky. Jennifer graduated from Ramona High in Riverside, California in 1985. She married Gordon Brooke on September 22, 1990. Together, they began their love for traveling by shipping out to Okinawa, Japan. Eventually, they settled in Madison, Wisconsin where they raised two daughters together. Jennifer worked as a claims representative for Auto-Owners Insurance. However, her favorite job of all time was with the USO as an Event Coordinator. Jennifer enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, wine, Harry Potter, traveling all over the world and snuggling on the couch. Despite her cancer diagnosis, which she never let define her, she always remained strong and positive. Jennifer had the loudest laugh and was always the life of the party. Her beauty was always radiating inside and out. Jennifer is survived by her husband, Gordon; daughters, Jessica Brooke and Emily Brooke; parents; Dennis (Barb) Vick and Peggy Lutonsky; brothers, Randall (Veronica) Vick, Harvey (Telisse) Stanfield and Heiko Vick; step-father, Ricky Lutonsky; aunts, Judy (Bill) Wyngaard and Barbara (Richard) Hooverson; uncle, Ronnie (Bev) Whiting; mother-in-law, Janet Brooke; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles Brooke. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorials may be gifted in Jennifer's name to the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
