Abdoul Malick Sillah
April 17, 2003 - February 12, 2020
Obituary
SUN PRAIRIE- Abdoul Malick Sillah, age 16, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020. He was born on April 17, 2003, in Madison, the son of Momodou Sillah and Paula Carter. He was known affectionately by many names including 'Poo Bear' and 'Li`cks'.
Malick loved to be with his family and would give his last breath for the ones he loved. He enjoyed many family camping trips and expressed great pride when it came time to naming trees and building a campfire without matches. During his time outdoors he developed a passion for wood carving and fishing however once in the house... it was game time... literally! He was always up for the next NBA2K20 gaming challenge as he showed off his modified players and their skills.
Malick had an eye for designer fashion and would always pick out the most expensive clothing and shoes when shopping. He had a unique soul, and expressed this in his love for art, music and original sense of style. Malick enjoyed going against the grain, as 16 year olds do, and rooted for every team that played against the Green Bay Packers just to get a rise out of his Packer loving mother. He will truly be missed by so many.
Malick is survived by his parents; brothers, Jordan and Alexander Johnson and Xavier Sanders; sister, Marionna Sillah; grandparents; Bruce and Donna Skaro, Paul and Joan Carter and Mary Sarr; great-grandmother, Betty Porter; aunts, Angela Hoke and Jenifer Carter; uncles, Steven and Michael Carter and Ahmad Sillah; cousins, Jason, Anthony, Austin, Devvin, Trevor and Gavin; and numerous great-aunts and great-uncles. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Abdoul Sillah; and great-grandparents, Donald and Merlin Carter and Roy Porter; and his adopted brother of the heart, Aaron Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020. Burial will follow at Sun Prairie Memory Garden. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, and also at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.

Fond memories of Malick and all of Paula's children being in my family child care. Malck liked being silly as you can see in the first picture.

Our hearts mourn with yours, and may The Lord continue to give you the courage and strength moong forward, Not knowing his real name he was introduced to us as “Pooh Bear”( remember this because that’s a name fondly used in our family as well.), Pooh Bear cherished all the loving you gave to him and may it forever be memorized in his honor. Our deepest condolences Aunt Honda and “crew”
