Rest In Peace Dad love Mary and Nick we will always miss you

To the family of Steve Potter, Steve was the best wrestler and the best teammate/competitor in my over 50 years in Wisconsin High School Wrestling. He was close to 120 lbs. when he reported to wrestling practice, and he worked extremely hard to improve and to help our East team. Through his hard work he continued to improve until as a senior he was undefeated as he entered and finished the Wisconsin State Tournament. One of the highly unusual events at that state tournament included Steve's close victory over the outstanding Richland Center High School wrestler in the semi-finals. Imagine the surprise of all of us when in the finals, Steve arrived at the mat wearing the Richland Center wrestler's jersey. Steve continued his winning ways and won in the final match, but he showed unbelievable respect for his Richland Center opponent. QUITE A GUY!! I have the utmost respect for Steve.
