Oh Bob, you will be so missed! I can hear your laughter in my head. That clear, giggly laugh. A million Memories flash through my mind. We spent many hours at Demolition Derby's with the Beach Bum Derby Team. Bob got my husband Joe and kids involved on a crazy whim in the Demolition Derby in Lodi. The first Derby car was painted with Polka Dots and had a stuffed/taxidermy Muskie wired to the the front of the car. What started out as fun, became a sport of their lives. Joe, Bob, Big Mike, Richie, Beau and of course all our families. It wasn't just about the race, it was about the laughter, love, friendship and fellowship.....Much. Like. Life. Fly High to that Derby in the Sky. You were a BEST friend to our family. Much Love to Sheryl, Richie and family XOX

Just last week I was looking at that picture back at Schenk school and all the guys were so young and Bobby kneeling on the floor a very young boy. Our paths took different directions as adults but that doesn’t change all those good memories back in school. My heart and prayers go out to you Sheryl, your family and all who loved Bob.

I met Bob, Sheryl and Rich when we moved in across the street from them in 1995. We quickly became friends spurred on by our mutual love of the outdoors and sports. We spent many days in the boat chasing walleyes and in the fall shooting at ducks with Joe Dittberner. On the weekends we often grilled out and chilled out on the deck with some cold ones. We usually watched the Badgers and Packers games together as well as taking in some baseball games. These are some of my fondest memories. Bob had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh, often at each other and at ourselves. Julie and I have always regretted moving away from Harmony Grove and this wonderful family. I have met many people and made many friends throughout my life, but Bob truly holds a special place in my heart. I will miss him more than anyone else I have lost. Rest in Peace great friend and feel free to wear your slippers to a ballgame in heaven.
