Lucille Manthe

LEEDS, WI - Lucille E. Manthe, age 94, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020. She was born on August 28, 1925, in the Town of Leeds, the daughter of Karl and Lucy (Sauer) Wolf. She married Harold E. Manthe on October 20, 1944, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church-Leeds. Lucille was employed as a secretary for various companies, including 15 years at the DeForest Elementary School. She retired in 1988. Lucille, also known as Lucy, was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church-Leeds, a member of the Zion choir and a member of the American Legion Olson-Grinde Memorial Post 348 Auxiliary. Lucille is survived by her four children and their families, Mary (Charles) Schwartz of Brillion, WI, Linda (Richard) Kugler of Sun City, AZ, John (Suzanne) Manthe of Dousman, WI, and Julie (David) Hildebrandt of Lake Mills, WI. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, David Manthe of DeForest, WI, and many nephews and nieces. Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold and other family members. Interment for Lucille will be at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery-Leeds. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
