Marjorie Tressa Kelsey

COTTAGE GROVE - Marjorie Tressa Kelsey, age 91, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on April 19, 1930, in Oxford, Wis., the daughter of Lester Lloyd and Irene (Hollander) Lloyd. Marge grew up, attended and graduated from Oxford High School. For many years, Marge worked as an in-home daycare provider. She also enjoyed being a greeter at Walmart for 17 years. She also treasured the time that she spent as a homemaker. Marge was a long-time member of Parkside Presbyterian Church in Madison. In her free time, Marge loved traveling, canning, gardening, knitting, baking and birdwatching. She spent many hours watching the hummingbirds and cardinals. Her hobbies included collecting antiques. Some of her favorites were Hummels, toothpick holders, spoons, thimbles and numerous clocks. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play in sporting events. She never missed a game! Marge is survived by her daughters, Lisa Kelsey, Linda (Michael) Nee and Lynne (Scott) Foley; son, Kent (Cyndee) Kelsey; half-sister, Mary Lou Byers; sister-in-law, Mary Lloyd; seven grandchildren, Keisha Nee, Kalli (Lee) Pethan, Chad (Christine) Kelsey, Tyler (Megan) Bortz, Kelsey Bortz, Alexa Kelsey and Mitchell Kelsey; two step-grandchildren, Brandon (Melody) Foley and Caden (Jamie) Foley; and six great-grandchildren, Khloey, Harper, Roman, Amina, Madelyn and Addyson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Myron (Verna) Lloyd and Merlin Lloyd. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
